    You probably all know what the quake 3 console is, you can see it by pressing ~ in quake.
    Most of the ppl use it for chat, but you can insert codes, those can be usefull for quake 3 arena or your gameplay.
    I will tell you some codes, which are usefull for quake.

    Teamoverlay

    TeamOverlay is a menu where you can see where al your team members are in arena.
    You can activate the teamoverlay in quake options, or insert the following code.
    /seta cg_drawteamoverlay 1
    Now you have in the upper right the TeamOverlay menu.
    If you want it to be gone, typ the following code.
    /seta cg_drawteamoverlay 0
    You can bind the menu, so if you want it to disappear or reappear press the button, you bind it with.
    /bind o toggle cg_drawteamoverlay
    You can change "o" in whatever you want.

    Quake using Ram

    Like any program, quake uses a amount of RAM of your computer.
    Ram means "Random acces Memory".
    Quake uses as default 56 Ram.
    But if you have much Ram, like 265 or 512, you can give quake some more Ram.
    If you give quake more ram, it will run smoother, but the max amount of Ram you can give is 255.
    Example : my quake uses 150 of the 512 Ram, i don't give more because you won't see any changes if you add more Ram.
    Be warned : you must give Windows enough Ram to wrk with, otherwise your computer would go crazy, so if you have 265 Ram don't give quake more the 125 Ram.

    Now were are going to change your ram.
    typ in your console.

    /com_hunkmegs

    Now you see how much Ram quake uses.
    lets change it to 125, typ in your console.
    /com_hunkmegs 125

    The console will say : "com_hunkMegs will be changed upon restarting", lets do so.
    After you restarted quake and you typ /com_hunkmegs again, you see that it has been changed to 125

    PunkBuster

    If you cheat your a punk, and punkbuster will bust your ass and throw you out a multiplayer server.
    Punkbuster can see if you have a legal or illegal quake, if you have a illegal quake, your busted!!
    Punkbuster can see if you have changed something to your config file for cheating, if you changed your config file for cheating, your busted!!
    But Punkbuster isn't a perfect program.
    Sometimes your ping is higher (then it should be) because of Punkbuster, and sometimes it is just a annoying program :p
    Lukely for us you can turn punkbuster off.

    You can disable it by multyplayers, or with a code.
    The code is usefull if you are in a server and want to disable punkbuster, but you don't want to go back to the quake menu.
    If you are just a player in a server typ:

    /pb_cl_disable

    Now only you don't use punkbuster anymore, so you have to enable punkbuster if you want to go to server which uses punkbuster.
    If you are a admin of the server typ:
    /pb_sv_disable

    The server now doesn't use punkbuster anymore, so you don't have to enable punkbuster if you want to go to that server.
    If you want punkbuster enabled, just change the "diable" in the code into "enable".

    We can't be held responsable for anything, if your computer fucked up because of those codes, then it's your own fault, because YOU insered those codes.
